June Rubicuski has been a Sales and Design Salesperson for 20 years, and an Itinerant Sales Consultant at Seigles for 2 years. We sat down with her to get to know more about what makes her tick. Read on to find out more about her interest in design, the most thrilling thing she’s ever done, and the top item on her bucket list.
What is your role at Seigles?
I help inform customers of their cabinet and countertop choices and also help the sales team.
What is your favorite thing about working at Seigles?
I love our uniqueness; we are not like the box stores. Seigles has been around forever, so we must be doing something right with loyal customers, competitive pricing, great selections and more.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on?
I had the opportunity to do Del Webb in Huntley’s special rooms. We had a pass card to get in and work on the models. I liked the challenges they offered me.
What is your favorite option in today’s kitchens?
The double garbage cabinet.
Over your many years in the business, what’s the worst design trend you’ve encountered?
The whitewashed oak cabinets.
If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for us?
Believe it or not, I don’t cook. I probably would do an all American barbecue.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Traveling.
What is the most thrilling thing you’ve ever done?
Swam with dolphins.
What is your favorite room in your house?
Our family room with a fireplace.
If you had a 25 hour day while everyone else has only 24, what would you do with your extra time?
Read. Usually I can’t find the time, and when I do nothing else gets done.
What is the top item on your bucket list?
To go to Hawaii.
