At Sims-Lohman, we love the chance to come together as a team and support the community. Our team recently held a donation drive where we gathered essential food and items for the Gretchen S. Vapnar Crisis Center in Elgin. To celebrate the team’s generosity, at our quarterly meeting, those who donated 5 items or more were entered to win raffle prizes.
The Crisis Center is dedicated to meeting the needs of families in crisis, with services including an emergency hotline, shelter due to domestic violence or financial crisis, counseling, financial assistance, welfare advocacy, and more. It is one of the oldest domestic violence shelters in the state. Their mission is to provide Safety, Hope, Advocacy, Respite and Education for those impacted by crisis and violence in the Fox Valley Region and Illinois.
